Disney • Pixar Releases Lightyear Trailer
Lightyear, the origination story of our favorite Space Ranger from Toy Story, looks to give us an action-packed film this summer. Voiced by actor Chris Evans (swoon), we are treated to the definitive origin story of who the infamous toy Buzz Lightyear was fashioned after. Also, we see Buzz's hair because you know you wondered if he was bald or not under that purple cap LOL!
Out of the entire Toy Story franchise, I've gotta say, Buzz is probably one of my favorite characters, so I am excited about this film. I always love a good backstory that dives into how a character has evolved giving insight into who they really are.
"The cast for ‘Lightyear’ is truly a dream team,” said director Angus MacLane. “Each of the performers immediately inhabited their character, which gave us the opportunity to play a bit during recording sessions. This resulted in a level of specificity that elevated the material and brought additional depth to the characters’ relationships. It has been a privilege to work with such a talented and generous cast."
